Overview
Ibadan's trusted marketplace for verified vendors, connecting buyers with local sellers they can rely on.
The Challenge
Local commerce in Ibadan runs largely on informal channels, which works until a buyer has no way to tell a reliable vendor from an unreliable one. The marketplace needed to:
- Give buyers a reason to trust a vendor they have not used before
- Let vendors list and manage stock without technical skill
- Work well on the phones and connections buyers actually have
- Handle browsing and discovery across a wide range of categories
Our Solution
We built a marketplace organised around vendor verification, so trust is visible rather than assumed.
- Verified vendor profiles with clear identification
- Vendor dashboard for listings, stock, and orders
- Category browsing and search built for a large catalogue
- Mobile-first throughout, since that is how buyers arrive
Key Features
Vendor verification
Verified badges backed by an actual check, so the signal means something.
Vendor dashboard
Listings, stock levels, and incoming orders managed without a developer.
Category browsing
Structured navigation across a broad catalogue rather than a flat list.
Search
Finding a specific product without knowing which vendor stocks it.
Design Highlights
- 1
Trust made visible
Verification status appears wherever a vendor does, because that is the marketplace core promise.
- 2
Built for a phone first
Layout, tap targets, and image weight assume a mid-range phone on mobile data.
- 3
Low-friction listing
Adding a product is short enough that vendors keep their catalogue current.
The Results
The marketplace is live and connecting buyers with verified local vendors. Measured figures will be added once tracked.
