Overview
Most websites do not fail dramatically. They decay: an expired certificate, a plugin update never applied, a contact form that stopped delivering months ago and nobody noticed, a backup that was never actually tested.
Maintenance is the least glamorous thing we offer and often the most valuable. Someone keeps the software patched, checks that backups restore, watches for the site going down, and is reachable when something needs fixing.
It also covers the small changes that are too minor to be a project — updated staff details, a new page, a changed phone number — without you having to scope and quote each one.
Technologies we use
- Automated backups
- Uptime monitoring
- Staging environments
- SSL and domain management
- Dependency and security updates
We list only what we actually work with. If your project needs something outside this, we will tell you rather than learn on your budget.
What's included
Key features
What you get as part of maintenance & support work with us.
Updates and security patching
Framework, dependency, and plugin updates applied and tested regularly, rather than left until something breaks.
Backups and recovery
Scheduled backups with restores actually tested — an untested backup is not a backup.
Uptime and performance monitoring
Automated checks so we usually know your site is down before you do, plus periodic performance reviews.
Content and change requests
Routine edits and small additions handled as part of the arrangement, without a separate quote for every change.
A named point of contact
You know who to email, and you reach the people who built the thing rather than a ticket queue.

Questions
Maintenance & Support — common questions
More questions are answered on our FAQ page.
If nobody on your team is responsible for updates, backups, and monitoring, then something is going unmaintained. Whether that is us or someone in-house matters less than it being someone.
Often, yes. We review the existing site first to see what state it is in, then tell you what it would take to bring it to a maintainable standard before ongoing support starts.
Response times are agreed in writing as part of your specific arrangement, so the commitment matches what we can genuinely deliver. We would rather agree a realistic window and meet it than publish a number we cannot honour.
New features and substantial redesigns are separate projects, quoted separately. The maintenance arrangement covers keeping what exists working, plus routine content changes.
